Mission StatementThe purpose of Campus Ministry at Austin Preparatory School is to design, to initiate, to coordinate and to supervise school programs that promote faith development. The Campus Minister leads in this effort and calls forth the ministerial talents of students, faculty, parents and staff to help develop these programs to meet the religious and spiritual needs of the entire school community. The office hopes to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each person regardless of religious affiliation. All the efforts of Campus Ministry support and promote the school’s slogan, “God, Self, Neighbor”. Campus Ministry provides opportunities for members of the school community to deepen their understanding of the Gospel message through a variety of means such as liturgies, prayers services, retreats, Christian service and others. The Campus Minister is available for pastoral and spiritual counseling, especially bereavement counseling and support, to students, faculty and parents as needed or requested. The office also attempts to raise consciousness and encourage action regarding contemporary moral and social problems. Campus Ministry seeks to build a living faith community of students, faculty, staff and parents.
